Personal letter written by Mormon D. S. Mills on letterhead of his agricultural implements business to cousin H. (Horace) K. Whitney in Salt Lake City, Utah. The author describes the makeup of his family, their health, and their activities. In addition, he comments on the presence of "necromancers" (?) loose in California, opines about the upcoming Presidential election and the potential for bloodshed, and inquires as to how the priesthood is doing in Utah. The letter finishes with a post script about improvments the author has made in plows and wishes to get them "in the valley to the benefit of the Saints."
